Dua Lipa Calls John Cena Her Emotional Support Actor

John Cena has been able to participate in a ton of exciting projects since his acting career popped off. It appears that he also made an impression on Dua Lipa along the way during the Barbie Movie’s filming.

During the early stages of Barbie’s filming, director Greta Gerwig and composer Mark Ronson collaborated to choose a track for the film’s first significant dance scene. Ronson enlisted disco queen Dua Lipa to contribute to the song “Dance the Night.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Dua Lipa referred to John Cena as her “emotional support actor” and praised the 16-time World Champion. She expressed her happiness witnessing the buzz created by Barbiemania, even participating in the excitement by donning a pink look at the film’s premiere in July.

“It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him! He’s really my emotional support actor. It was fab, and he’s amazing, and I absolutely love working with John. He’s such a great guy and so lovely.”

Dua Lipa’s cameo appearance as a mermaid marked her debut in acting, and it was a reunion with legendary wrestler John Cena, whom she had previously met while working on the film Argylle, scheduled for release in February.

We will have to see what the future holds for John Cena’s acting career. He is obviously making a lot of noise in Hollywood, and his WWE departure was due to the fact that he must get back to work after the SAG-AFTRA Strike concluded.

The Barbie film featured Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, directed by Greta Gerwig, with the screenplay by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, an Oscar nominee. Released earlier this summer on July 21st, the popular movie is based on Mattel’s Barbie.
