Koffee is the stage name of Mikayla Victoria Simpson, a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, rapper, deejay, and guitarist who was born on February 16, 2000, in Spanish Town, Jamaica.

She participated in the church choir, started playing the guitar at the age of 12 on a friend’s instrument, and started writing lyrics after hearing reggae artist Protoje. She was a student at Kingston, Jamaica’s Ardenne High School.

At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Koffee’s 2019 EP Rapture won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, making her the youngest recipient of the honour and the only female. Gifted, her most recent album, came out in March 2022.

Seventh-day Adventist, sporadic actor, and Ministry of Health employee Koffee’s mother. Koffee’s mother’s religious upbringing served as one of her earliest musical influences.

Is Koffee a Lesbian?

Although Koffee has never publicly admitted to being a lesbian, bi, or queer person, dancehall fans have taken it upon themselves to speculate about the sexual orientation of the next reggae legend. The only thing the general public is aware of about the artist is that she consistently frustrates fans by delaying the release of new music.
